Who is Greg Grippo? Meet The ‘Bachelorette’ Alum Accused of Cheating With Victoria Fuller of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’

As Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 comes to an end, a man who isn’t even on the show is unexpectedly making headlines alongside contestant Victoria Fuller: Greg Grippo.

If Grippo’s name sounds familiar, that’s because he is a member of Bachelor Nation, he just wasn’t a member of this year’s Paradise cast. So why the heck are we talking about him? Well, ahead of the Season 8 finale, viewers know that Fuller (who was a contestant on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor) is hot and heavy with Johnny DePhillipo (a contestant on Gabby and Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette). The two look like they’re on track to get engaged in the finale, but since Paradise filming concluded, rumors have been swirling online, saying that Fuller cheated on DePhillipo with Grippo. The drama!

Famous Bachelor Nation spoiler Reality Steve has been sharing rumors, updates, and information pertaining to Fuller and Grippo’s post-Paradise status for weeks. Photos and video of Fuller and Grippo in Rome started popping on social media. DePhillipo and friends started writing cryptic Instagram comments. And on October 25, Reality Steve finally shared footage on Twitter captioned, “Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo near the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy earlier this morning.”

Clearly there’s a lot to unpack in the Bachelor in Paradise finale, so who is Greg Grippo? And are Greg and Victoria dating now? Here’s everything you need to know about the Bachelorette alum connected to Bachelor in Paradise contestant Victoria Fuller.

Who is Greg Grippo? Everything You Need to Know About the Bachelorette Alum

Greg Grippo was a contestant on Season 17 of The Bachelorette in 2021, where he dated lead Katie Thurston. He was a front-runner and fan favorite contestant for a majority of the season, but he had a controversial exit after hometown dates and ahead of the finale. He and Thurston had a major disagreement after she failed to tell him she loved him during their hometown date, so he quit the show in a deeply emotional episode. Thurston explained she felt “gaslighted” by Grippo and she’s since shared that she found his behavior “immature” and “verbally aggressive.” After his departure, Grippo came under fire again when rumors claiming he was an actor who only went on the show to further his career started to spread. But through the aftermath of his Bachelorette departure, he always had a friend in fellow Season 17 contestant Andrew Spencer, who was also a contestant on Paradise Season 8.

Outside of his time on The Bachelorette, there’s a lot more to know about Grippo. And what better place to learn more about this 29-year-old marketing sales rep from Edison, New Jersey, than his old 2019 ABC bio? We dug it up so you wouldn’t have to. (You’re welcome!) Here’s what is says:

Greg is the full package. He’s handsome, kind, vulnerable and serious about wanting to settle down. Greg considers himself a hopeless romantic, and a perfect first date would be something active like riding bikes, dancing or going to a concert. Greg wants to travel the world with his wife before having kids, of which he says he wants to have at least six! Greg is also extremely close with his family and says his parents set his definition of #romancegoals. Thanks to their love, the standards for what a successful marriage looks like are sky high. Greg wants to find someone he can grow old with and treat like a queen, so the Bachelorette may just be swept off her feet!

The Fun Facts included in Grippo’s bio are as follows:

  • Greg is not afraid to admit that he cries during movies.
  • Greg’s biggest pet peeve is slow drivers.
  • Greg dreams of seeing Lebron James play basketball in person.

During his time on The Bachelorette, Grippo also revealed that his dad passed away in 2018, and we know he’s very family-oriented. He earned his first impression rose by giving Thurston a pasta necklace his niece made, after all. Love him or hate him, you have to admit that’s cute! If you want to learn more about Grippo, you can follow him on Instagram, where he currently has 378,000 followers.

We have a feeling this won’t be the last Bachelor Nation hears of Greg Grippo, so we might as well get to know him a bit while we await more updates on the DePhillipo/Fuller/Grippo chaos triangle.

Bachelor in Paradise Season 8 finale airs on ABC Tuesday, November 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
