Alyssa Farah Griffin Calls out Ana Navarro For “Attacking” Her During Conversation About “Toxic Femininity” on ‘The View’

Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines may have been missing from The View this morning, but there was no shortage of drama as Alyssa Farah Griffin hit back at Ana Navarro during a conversation about “toxic femininity.” Irony, much?

Whoopi Goldberg introduced the Hot Topics segment, which originated from a Reddit thread in which multiple women opened up about times when they were told to “act like a lady” or were “bullied by other moms.”

Griffin, who at times finds herself on the opposing side of the show’s debates as the only conservative host at the table, was the first to give her thoughts on toxic femininity — which she believes is very real.

“We’ve come a long way in kind of critiquing some of the male practices that are not helpful and that needed to be called out,” she said. “And I think that women have made a ton of progress but we can also be each other’s worst enemies.”

She continued, “It’s still the case and I hate to say it, but some of the worst bosses I’ve had have been women, and sometimes colleagues in the workplace who are women.”

Navarro quickly chimed in with the zinger, “That’s what happens when you work with Kellyanne Conway,” referring to Griffin’s previous experience working with the Trump administration. The co-host has since come out against the former president and often denounces him on the daytime talk show — still, the other women on the panel certainly don’t let her forget her time in the White House.

Navarro’s comment didn’t sit well with Griffin, and even gave her more evidence about the pervasiveness of toxic femininity.

“I can’t really get a word in without you attacking me so I wouldn’t say this is totally different,” Griffin fired back. “This isn’t, like, a totally different environment of women supporting each other.”

Navarro spoked over her, claiming, “Oh, I haven’t attacked you in two weeks.”

Well, looks like it’s time to restart the countdown until the next time she comes after the co-host.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
