‘White Lotus’ Fans Shocked to Discover Jennifer Coolidge Was in ‘Seinfeld’ By Way Of This Viral TikTok

Warning: The White Lotus spoilers ahead!

Jennifer Coolidge always commands attention in HBO’s The White Lotus. The second season of the hit drama sees the return of Coolidge’s Tanya McQuoid as she collects new companionships during her visit to Sicily. The character has become a fan-favorite, leaving many shocked at her tragic ending during this week’s season finale. With all eyes on Coolidge, fans are dredging up her past roles, with one in particular coming as a surprise.

The TikTok account DNAMAG posted a short clip of the famed actor making an appearance in Seinfelds fifth season. For one episode, Coolidge played Jodi, a masseuse who ends up falling into a short-lived relationship with the titlular character.

The video shows Coolidge’s character saying, “I massage who I want, when I want. I don’t submit to forcible massage,” which proved to be a deal-breaker in the new couple’s relationship as Jodi refused to give Jerry a massage despite his jealousy toward her male clients.

Since being posted on Nov. 30, the video has gathered 1.4 million views and has the caption, “Jennifer Coolidge was and still is a baddie hot ass.” The comments section is blowing up, with many expressing that they didn’t recognize the White Lotus star in the 1993 role.

Others have brought the new revelation to Twitter, with one fan writing, “Jennifer Coolidge not having her Coolidge-voice in Seinfeld always throws me off.”

Another tweeted, “You’re telling me I’ve watched the masseuse episode of Seinfeld a million times and never once realized it was Jennifer Coolidge?”

A third wrote, “Today I learned that Jennifer Coolidge was the masseuse gf who refused to give Jerry a message on Seinfeld.”

Seinfeld wasn’t Coolidge’s only sitcom role, despite it being her first. She went on to star in episodes of Friends, Rude Awakening and King of the Hill. Her breakthrough role was portraying Jeanine Stifler, a.k.a. Stifler’s Mom, in the 1999 comedy movie American Pie.

Coolidge has since held roles in Legally Blonde, A Cinderella Story, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and 2 Broke Girls.

Clearly, it’s Jennifer Coolidge’s world, we’re just living in it.
