Joy Behar Brutally Mocks Sunny Hostin’s Feathered Outfit on ‘The View’ by Comparing Her to Both Liberace and a Chicken

Joy Behar was playing Fashion Police on this morning’s episode of The View, shading her co-host Sunny Hostin for wearing a lavender feathered jacket. During a discussion about individual style and accidentally matching outfits with someone else, Behar made it clear that she and Hostin will never match — at least as long as she keeps her style consistent.

Hostin, who was seated at the Hot Topics table in a light purple jacket with dramatic feathered sleeves, immediately became Behar’s target during the segment. The host gestured to Hostin’s sleeves and joked, “Imagine if I came in with this outfit. People would think I’m Liberace” … which was an interesting comment coming from someone dressed in a sequined blazer.

Whoopi Goldberg, who tried to stay neutral by saying people should dress however they please, told the panel, “Whether someone else thinks it’s cool may not make it cool on you. … So one should always take a step. Wear something bold if you’re feeling bold, ’cause who’s right or wrong? You know what you like. Who can say?”

And after getting jabbed by Behar, Hostin stood up for herself, saying, “Fashion is self expression in many ways. I think fashion is self expression, I think it’s artistry,” before addmitting, “I don’t know what I’m expressing today.”

Behar took the moment and ran with it, comparing Hostin to a chicken just minutes after linking her to Liberace. She quipped, “I told her she should just go, bawk, bawk, bawk, bawk,” while imitating a chicken, as Hostin noted, “The jokes have been continuous since backstage.”

Behar then turned to a new target, saying that Alyssa Farah Griffin was dressed “like a mermaid on the bottom,” but Griffin was prepared with a retort, telling the audience, “Joy keeps stealing things from my closet, too. So if you see us wearing the same thing, that’s why.”

Something tells us Behar wasn’t playing the same clothing swap game with Griffin’s predecessor, Meghan McCain, after the way those two fought for years, but now we know where all of her more colorful looks this season have been coming from.
