Are Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes on ‘GMA3’ Today, Dec. 19?

Lately, things have been looking quite different on GMA3: What You Need to Know.

Regular hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have been absent from the broadcast since Dec. 2, following the gossip-filled reveal of their alleged affair, and Dr. Jennifer Ashton, who co-hosts with the two, announced on Friday that she is leaving New York for the holidays.

Does that mean today’s episode will see three fill-in hosts?

Last week, Robach and Holmes were replaced by DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally. Before that, Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez were at the helm. Now, with Ashton embarking on her winter break, nobody knows who will be running the show for the remainder of the year.

In another twist of events, sources have told TMZ that the dethroned anchors will not be returning to the show for the remainder of the year, due to the ongoing internal review and their pre-established holiday plans.

The outlet also alleged that the two are not in direct communication with ABC about their review, and instead, they are having their legal teams take over.

In all, things are messy over at the lunchtime talk show, and perhaps it’s time for ABC News President Kim Godwin to reconsider whether the real “distraction” is Robach and Holmes’ affair, or if it’s the talk show’s constant cycle of replacement anchors.

Who will be filling in for Robach and Holmes today, Dec. 19? Is Dr. Jen Ashton on the broadcast? Continue reading to find out.

Are Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes on GMA3 Today?

No, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are not on today’s broadcast of GMA3: What You Need to Know. It appears that the scheduled episode is not airing today. Instead, news correspondents David Muir and Rachel Scott are reporting on the Jan. 6 committee’s final public hearing about the attack at the U.S. Capitol.

The description for the original episode states that ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl, mother-and-daughter duo Bobbi Wilson and Monique Joseph, podcast host Alex Cooper and Shaggy were expected to make appearances.

Instead, in lieu of the GMA3 introduction, the episode began with Muir and Scott giving context into the final hearing and then segued into a live broadcast of the Washington D.C. hearing. Today’s meeting is the committee’s tenth televised meeting this year and began at 1 p.m. ET, which is the same time that the talk show is supposed to air.

Curious about how to watch the Jan. 6 hearings live? Along with airing on ABC, the hearing is being broadcast via NBC, CBS, CNN, C-SPAN and virtually on YouTube, Hulu + Live TV, and more.

GMA3: What You Need To Know airs weekdays at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
