Aubrey Plaza Begs Drew Barrymore to Be Her “Mommy” in Weirdly Sexual, Off-the-Walls Interview: “Nurture Me”

There is no one quite as entertaining as Aubrey Plaza — except, of course, Drew Barrymore. So, it was no surprise when things took a turn for the weird during a conversation between the two on Barrymore’s latest episode of her Drew’s News podcast, during which the White Lotus star asked the host to be her “mommy.”

The whacky moment came toward the end of the episode, which aired on Monday (Dec. 19), when Barrymore explained that she sends postcards containing jokes to each of her two daughters every day when they go away to camp, leaving Plaza in awe — and with some oddball requests.

“You’re a dream mom. I wish you were my mom. Be my mommy,” the Parks and Recreation actress casually dropped, to which Barrymore (even more strangely) replied, “I’ll say the same thing to you I say to the girls, ‘Get back in my belly.'”

When Plaza told the host to “feed” her and put her to bed, Barrymore couldn’t help but boast about her cozy nurturing skills.

“I will, I will. By the way, I’m good at it, too,” she said. “I always, like, hold. And they get in the nook of my arm and I hold them and I pet them.”

Meanwhile, Plaza kept chiming in with her own demands. As she said, “Nurture me,” Barrymore continued to play along as she responded, “Oh, yes. What I wouldn’t do to put you to bed.”

Plaza, somehow taking the bit even further, added, “I’m a hungry baby,” to which the 50 First Dates actress assured, “And I have everything you need.”

Watch out, Olive and Frankie. It looks like you two just scored yourselves a big sister.
