Are Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes on ‘GMA3’ Today, Dec. 21?

With the workweek being halfway over, it’s fair to assume that Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes will be absent from GMA3: What You Need to Know for a third week in a row.

Things have been chaotic at Good Morning America and this week is no different. In addition to the dethroned anchors being absent from the lunchtime broadcast, the third regular co-host, Dr. Jennifer Ashton, is also nowhere to be found. Her reasoning, however, is less scandalous. Ashton is just on a pre-planned holiday vacation.

Robach and Holmes have been off air since Dec. 5 as a result of their alleged affair, which is pending an internal investigation.

DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally have been holding down the fort since last week, with ABC News Medical Contributor Dr. Darien Sutton joining as a fill-in for Ashton.

The week prior saw Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez hosting, with Morgan popping in on Friday, Dec. 9. This passing of the torch isn’t expected to end in the next few weeks given TMZ’s report that Robach and Holmes will not be returning to the show for the remainder of the year due to the ongoing review and their pre-established holiday plans.

Once again, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are absent from GMA3: What You Need To Know. The two anchors have been absent from the talk show since Dec. 5, making this the third week since they’ve hosted. In addition, Dr. Jennifer Ashton is also absent from the program due to her holiday vacation, which she announced on Dec. 16.

Hang in there, friends! Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ names are still included in the talk show’s opening sequence. Ahead of each broadcast, the tagline “Now, from Times Square, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes with Dr. Jen Ashton and What You Need to Know” is read aloud by a narrator. We suspect their names won’t be removed from the introduction until ABC announces a concrete plan for future broadcasts. As for now, the network is cycling through replacements until the internal review is complete.

Who is replacing Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes today?

Today’s broadcast sees DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally filling in for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes on GMA3: What You Need To Know. The two have been replacements since last week with Morgan being present since Friday, Dec. 9 and Ally joining him on the following Monday. Joining the two and taking over for Dr. Jennifer Ashton is ABC News Medical Contributor Dr. Darien Sutton.

At the top of the episode, DeMarco Morgan stated that he and Rhiannon Ally are filling in for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. The replacement anchors did not offer any additional information, compared to the first week the two anchors were off air and replacement host Stephanie Ramos claimed they “had the day off.” There was no comment about Dr. Jennifer Ashton’s absence.
