Dave Bautista’s Head Wrinkles Are the True Stars of ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’

When you spent your holiday weekend watching Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mysterywhat did you notice? Was it the superb acting? The colorful slate of characters? The intriguing murder mystery plot? Or, perhaps you were like a vast majority of social media users and you couldn’t help but notice Dave Bautista‘s head wrinkles.

The 53-year-old actor, who spent years as a WWE wrestler, plays Duke Cody, a Twitch streamer and men’s rights activist (and also the boyfriend to Whiskey, played by Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline), in Rian Johnson‘s highly anticipated Knives Out sequel.

With Bautista’s head being fully shaved for the role and the many close-ups of his face throughout his time on the screen, fans couldn’t help but point out the very obvious wrinkles lining his scalp — and its safe to say they were mesmerized by the unique physical feature.

“I want to go to an IMAX, put on 3D glasses, and watch an hour of slow panning macro shots of the top of Dave Bautista’s head,” one wrote. “Really get in there, each of those weird skull wrinkles emerging like a sprawling valley in an Attenborough documentary as the camera crests their ridges.”

Another said, “I never noticed how the wrinkles of Dave Bautista’s head look like his brain is on the outside before.”

“The way Dave Bautista’s head frumples when he emotes makes it looks like his brain is just under the skin,” a third viewer echoed.

One more added, “Watching GLASS ONION and am marveling at Dave Bautista’s head wrinkles.”

“I really want to feel Dave Bautista’s head… wrinkles? Dorsal rivulets?” another admitted, while someone else joked, “Just watched Glass Onion with my mom, whose main takeaway is Dave Bautista’s head.”

If you didn’t notice Bautista’s head wrinkles before, good luck paying attention to anything else the next time you watch.
