Who Did Georgia Kill in ‘Ginny & Georgia’?

The main matriarch of Ginny & Georgia has her fair share of secrets. Yes, she’s a mother. But she’s also…a murderer.

Georgia Miller, played by Brianne Howey, has done whatever necessary to keep her two kids — Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) — safe over the years. She’s committed crimes, shuffled them from place to place, and hid her past transgressions to spare them pain. But in Ginny & Georgia Season 2, Georgia’s past catches up to her when Ginny learns that she, uh, casually killed some people! And if you thought Georgia’s murderous streak was over after Season 1, you were wrong.

So who did Georgia kill in Ginny & Georgia Season 1 and Season 2? Did Georgia kill her husband? And does Georgia kill PAUL?! We’ve got all the answers you need below, but be mindful that spoilers for Ginny & Georgia are ahead.

Did Georgia Kill Kenny Drexel?

You bet! Through flashbacks, we learned that Georgia married Kenny (Darryl Scheelar) after he got divorced, so he was Ginny and Austin’s stepfather back in the day. While Georgia was observing Kenny and Ginny doing yoga together one day, he saw Kenny go to help Ginny with her form and inappropriately touch her. Traumatized by her own childhood sexual assault, Georgia knew she needed to get Kenny away from her kids, so she gathered some wolfsbane — a poisonous blue flower — and blended it into his morning smoothie. As he was drinking it in the car, he went into cardiac arrest and died. Georgia later had his body removed from his grave and created to hide all possible evidence. Since Kenny was wealthy, his ex-wife contested the will and eventually hired PI Gabriel Cordova to investigate the death and Georgia’s involvement. In the Season 1 finale, we see Gabriel confront Georgia about the murder at Mayor Paul Randolph’s reelection bash, but she looks unbothered as celebratory fireworks explode overhead, and we learn she got rid of Kenny’s ashes using the fireworks, so she’s no longer fearful of being charged with the crime.

Did Georgia Kill Anthony Greene?

Yep. Before Kenny, Georgia was married to a man named Anthony Greene (Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll) who fans saw in flashbacks in Season 1. There was a significant age difference between Anthony and Georgia, and he became landlord and employer when she was just a teen. Georgia knew young Ginny needed stability, shelter, and financial support, so she helped Anthony run illegal gambling tournaments and wound up getting caught by the police. To avoid losing Ginny, Georgia married Anthony, but after Anthony gained custody of Ginny, Georgia spiked his drink with enough pills to kill him and she enlisted help from the Blood Eyes biker gang to cover up the crime.

Did Georgia Kill Paul Randolph?

Heavens, no! Sure, Georgia has a track record of killing her hubbies, but Paul is a standup guy who loves Georgia, Ginny, and Austin, and treats them with the utmost respect. Georgia and Paul finally got married in the Season 2 finale, but during their first dance, the cops and Gabriel stormed in and finally arrested Georgia…FOR MURDER! Whose murder? Tom Fuller’s!

Who Is Tom Fuller? Why Did Georgia Kill Tom?

As noted in our finale recap, while Georgia and Paul are having their first dance,  Gabriel and the cops interrupt by busting in and arresting Georgia for murder. Georgia has committed her fair share of crimes over the years, but that night, Gabriel and the cops were able to link her to the murder of Tom Fuller. So who is Tom Fuller? Cynthia Fuller’s husband! And why did Georgia kill Tom? Well, she thought she was doing Cynthia a favor by putting him — and hopefully Cynthia and her son — out of their misery. Confused? Let’s back up.

Early in Season 2, we learned that Cynthia’s husband was essentially dying and was in a coma as a result of an illness. He was hooked up to life support machines in a bed in Cynthia’s living room, and the uncertainty of his future and grief of having to live with him in that unrecognizable state was taking a major toll on Cynthia and her son. Cynthia and Georgia had their differences throughout the series, but after Cynthia helped protect Georgia, Ginny, and Austin from Austin’s dad Gil, the two moms started to genuinely bond. One night, while Georgia was chatting with Cynthia in her kitchen, Cynthia opened up to her and expressed a desire for her husband’s suffering (and her family’s suffering) to be over. When Cynthia went upstairs to check on the boys, Georgia headed into the living room, looked down at Tom’s body, and presumably smothered him with a pillow. After the life drained from Tom and his machines started wildly beeping, Georgia shouted up to Cynthia and told him that his end had come. To Cynthia, the death appeared to be natural. But Georgia’s son Austin was hiding in the room when the murder happened and saw everything.

Austin didn’t tell anyone what he saw that night, but after Gabriel learned that Georgia was in the room with Tom when he died he called the police and reported a suspicious death, so officers likely looked into Tom’s cause of death and found foul play. Thus, Georgia was arrested.

Murder is, crucially, illegal and bad. But in Georgia’s mind, the murders she committed were justified because the men were abusive or suffering. As Ginny found out more about her mother’s past in Season 2, she came to better understand that her mom had engaged in criminal behavior in her past because she was trying to protect herself, Ginny, and Austin. But will Ginny be able to forgive her for Tom’s death? And will Georgia finally do some time for her crimes? We’ll have to wait and see if Ginny & Georgia is renewed for Season 3.

Season 2 of Ginny & Georgia is now streaming on Netflix.
