‘Carnival Row’ Season 2 on Prime Video: Trailer, Release Date, What We Know

Long before The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power or even The Wheel of Time premiered, Prime Video was embracing the world of fantasy with the inventive series Carnival Row. Season 1 introduced us to a magical city ruled by humans, but inhabited by fae, fauns, and other mystical creatures. Orlando Bloom starred as Rycroft “Philo” Philostrate, an inspector for the Burgue who often found his loyalties in question. Cara Delevingne was his one-time fae lover Vignette Stonemoss. Could their love conquer prejudice, murder mysteries, and an incomprehensible plot?

Carnival Row Season 2 seeks to continue this wild tale. Judging by the trailer, the already tense relationship between humans and fae will reach a boiling point. Fauns will be executed, vengeance will be enacted, and some other monstrous folks will be waiting for their cue to rip this divided city apart. Oh, and it seems that human Imogen Spurnrose (Tamzin Merchant) and faun Agreus Astrayon (David Gyasi) are still together, baby! More human-and-faun sex scenes in Carnival Row Season 2!

What We Know About Carnival Row Season 2

Carnival Row Season 2 will pick back up where Season 1 left off. According to Amazon, we’ll watch as “former” inspector Rycroft Philostrate (aka Philo) takes on a new series of mysteries that threaten to upend life as he knows it in the Row. Vignette and the Black Raven will be itching for vengeance for still more atrocities committed by The Burgue’s human leaders, Jonah Breakspear (Arty Froushan) and Sophie Longerbane (Caroline Ford). Oh, and if the Carnival Row Season 2 trailer is any indication, human Imogen and faun Agreus are still, ahem, passionately in love.

Because this is the last season of Carnival Row, expect all these plots and then some to end for good before the final credits on the final episode roll.
