‘The Bachelorette’ Star Rachel Lindsay Says Chris Harrison’s Podcast Has Brought up “All the Attacks”

Rachel Lindsay, who starred on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, has weighed in on Chris Harrison’s new podcast. And since we’re living in the age of podcasts, she gave her two cents on her own podcast, Higher Learning.

Known for being the disgraced host of the two reality dating series, Harrison has moved from the TV set and into the recording studio. He announced his podcast, The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever, in December 2022 and launched the first episode in January. He claimed to be ready to open up about his exit from ABC, which was sparked by accusations of racism after he defended a contestant for attending a plantation-themed party.

Speaking about Harrison’s latest business endeavor, Lindsay said, “A lot of people, as you would imagine, have hit me up — either asked me what I think, asked me if I’d listen,” per Us Weekly.

She shared that the podcast has “brought up all the attacks” she received when the events transpired roughly two years ago, citing social media attacks and DMs.

Lindsay explained that she doesn’t have much to say about the podcast, adding that it’s “for his fans, it’s for those who have reached out, those have wondered where he is.”

The media personality said that “people expected” her to “get mad” about the podcast, but she remains unbothered. “If y’all think I’m sitting around waiting for something, for Chris Harrison, y’all really don’t know me. I wasn’t expecting that,” she said.

Lindsay and her podcast cohost, Van Lathan, both commented on Harrison’s lack of remorse for his actions. The cohost said Harrison showed “zero humility” for his past actions. Lindsay made an effort to tell fans of the show and her supporters to not get upset over the podcast, saying, “He’s doing for the people he wants to do it for and that’s that.”

Harrison, for his part, claims he “didn’t sleep” and “didn’t eat” after his Bachelor scandal, which blew up when he pushed back against Lindsay in a difficult-to-watch Extra segment.

On the first episode of his podcast, the former host said he “stands by” his point on Extra, despite the public fallout.

“To go back to the infamous interview, one point that I was trying to make — and did not make eloquently — was people need time to think. You need time to process. We must have grace and patience for people to think and process, or else you’re just getting this nonsensical reactive emotion from people,” he said.
