Chris Evans Pokes Fun at ‘Avengers’ Co-Star Jeremy Renner: “Has Anyone Even Checked” To See How The Snowplow Is Doing?

Everyone needs a Chris Evans in their lives! Jeremy Renner appears to be in good spirits just weeks after being run over by a snowplow which left him in critical condition as the Oscar-nominated actor exchanged playful tweets with his fellow Avengers co-star about his accident.

Over the weekend, Renner shared a photo of himself rehabbing his body along with the caption, “I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens.”

Evans couldn’t help but joke with his friend as he commented, “That’s one tough mf’er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat??? Sending so much love ❤️”

In response, Renner quipped, “Love you brother…. I did check on the snow cat, she needs fuel. 😉😂”

Renner was airlifted to a hospital on New Year’s Day after being run over by a snowplow and sustaining “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” per a statement his publicist provided to CNN. Just one day after the incident, the actor was in the ICU, where he remained in “critical but stable condition.”

According to authorities, “An eyewitness detailed seeing Mr. Renner getting into the PistonBully, and not seeing him again until the PistonBully came to a rest in a pile of snow in front of his driveway,” per Deadline.

On Jan. 3 — two days after the accident — Renner shared an update from his hospital bed, where he wrote, “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

The Hawkeye star revealed he was continuing his recovery at home just a little over two weeks after being hospitalized. In reply to a tweet, he said, “Outside my brain fog in recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home,” referencing his show, Mayor of Kingstown
