ABC Isn’t Seeking Permanent Replacements for Amy Robach, T.J. Holmes on ‘GMA3’: Report

Finally some good news for Good Morning America fans! The network has not yet begun seeking permanent replacement for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes after the co-hosts were taken off air from their lunchtime program GMA3: What You Need to Know on Dec. 5 following reports of their steamy affair.

Since then, there has been no shortage of rumors surrounding the two, documenting their various excursions and Holmes’ alleged history as a serial cheater. Latest reports have indicated that they are seeking legal action against ABC for their prolonged absence, during which the network is said to be carrying out an internal review.

Now, TMZ reports that ABC isn’t actively seeking permanent replacements for Robach or Holmes. An insider stated that ABC’s main priority is to complete their investigation, which includes looking for extra information about Holmes’ reported former office romances; he has been linked to both an ABC producer and an intern.

TMZ squashed rumors that fill-in DeMarco Morgan has been named as Holmes’ replacement, stating, “our network sources say that just isn’t the case.”

According to Page Six, Holmes and Robach have lawyered up against ABC. “They have not been terminated yet, but I don’t expect T.J. to be on again,” claimed one insider. The same source alleged that the network wants Robach to stay, but “likely not on GMA3.”

ABC has yet to release any official updates on the dethroned hosts or their internal review. Instead, the show has welcomed a variety of “fill-ins” to occupy the news desk with regular host Dr. Jennifer Ashton, including Morgan, plus Rhiannon Ally, Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez.

The Daily Mail was the first to report on Robach and Holmes’ affair on Nov. 30 by publishing photos of the tow cozying up in various locations around New York. The outlet alleged that the couple had been romantically involved since June.
