HBO is mixing things up this week. Instead of premiering the next episode of The Last of Us on its favorite day — Sunday — the premium cable network is taking a dual premiere approach. As long as you have access to HBO on Demand or HBO Max, you can watch Episode 5 of The Last of Us two full days before its typical Sunday night premiere.

When Does The Last of Us Episode 5 Come Out on HBO Max and HBO on Demand?
This week is going to look a bit different thanks to the Super Bowl. “Endure and Survive,” Episode 5 of The Last of Us, will premiere on HBO Max and HBO on Demand this Friday, February 10. The episode will also premiere on HBO’s linear channel on Sunday, February 12 at its regular time.

“Endure and Survive” may be available a couple of days early, but you have the same premiere time to keep in mind. Episode 5 will be available to stream on HBO Max and HBO on Demand this Friday, February 10 starting at 9/8c p.m.
How to Watch The Last of Us on HBO Max and HBO on Demand
The only way to watch this week’s episode early is through streaming. If you still subscribe to HBO through your cable provider, all you need to do is enter your cable username and password into HBO on Demand or HBO Max. Starting at 9 p.m. ET tonight, you can watch live from any country or territory that offers HBO.
The same rules apply if you’re an HBO Max subscriber. Once the episode becomes available, you can stream it through your HBO Max account. By the way, the streaming service is available on most major platforms. If you don’t see Episode 5 right away, refresh your HBO Max app. Sometimes it takes a couple of minutes for new episodes to appear.
