This might be our last Woman Crush Wednesday for a while, but that just means that we’re determined to go out with a bang. Our weekly column for celebrating the laudable ladies paving the way in the best movies and shows streaming now may be coming to a close, but that also means that we’re finishing strong with an amazing actress whose hard work, talent, and poise transcend her mere 24 years of age. So, without further ado, give it up for your WCW, the magnificent Madison Bailey!

WHO’S THAT GAL: Madison Bailey

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Bailey reprises her role as Kiara “Kie” Carrer for the highly-anticipated new season of Netflix Original title Outer Banks, which premieres on the platform this Thursday, February 23. Season 3 of the action-adventure mystery teen drama series ushers in brand new adventures that take the working-class local “Pogues” of coastal North Carolina to an international journey through the Caribbean and beyond.

We’ll follow the friends as they find themselves broke, far from home, and stuck on a deserted island, where they are swiftly pulled into a deadly rival’s hunt for a legendary lost city. See Bailey, Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, and Andy McQueen lead the way in the treasure trove that is Outer Banks: Season 3 by catching it as soon as it drops this week, only on Netflix.

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: Bailey’s professional onscreen career began in 2015, when she played Caroline in an episode of detective drama series Constantine and Mary Hold Bear in an episode of crime docuseries Swamp Murders. Just two years later saw her feature film debut as a high schooler in comedy Fist Fight, as well as guest appearances in shows like Mr. Mercedes and Murder Chose Me

From there, she quickly continued to accumulate an impressive and varied filmography with roles in TV shows like Two Roads, Creep Show, Black Lightning, Council of Dads, and American Horror Stories, as well as in films like 2018 thriller Nightclub Secrets, 2020 drama Discarded Things, 2020 comedy Impractical Jokers: The Movie, and 2021 action crime-comedy Supercool

Clearly, Bailey has put in the work and then some to make a name for herself as a rising star to watch, and we can’t wait to see what she continues to pursue and achieve in the years to come!

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER AGAIN: Luckily, you won’t have to wait much longer to see more from Bailey, since she already has two exciting new projects confirmed to be in the works. Look out for her as Sasha in upcoming TV drama movie Constance, and as a currently undisclosed role in upcoming horror-thriller film Time Cut.
For even more from Bailey in the meantime, be sure to follow her now on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok so that you never miss a big moment from your wonderful WCW!
