Is There Going to Be a Season 4 of Outer Banks?

Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about the future of this series. During Poguelandia — Netflix’s Outer Banks -themed music festival and fan event — the streaming service renewed the action drama for Season 4.

We don’t definitively know who will be in this new season, but we can always speculate. Based on the way Season 3 ended, it’s likely that all of our treasure-hunting regulars will be back. Expect to see John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kie (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) once again. Though there hasn’t yet been official confirmation, Rafe (Drew Starkey), Topper (Austin North), Sofia (Fiona Palomo) and Barry (Nicholas Cirillo) are additional potential returning characters.

When Is the Outer Banks Season 4 Release Date?

Though Outer Banks Season 4 was initially expected to premiere sometime in the first half of this year, the WGA and SAG strikes delayed the start of production from summer 2023 to November 2023, pushing back the release date to a day yet to be officially announced.

This latest season also makes a departure from its previous filming location of Charleston, South Carolina to instead shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina. With these changes in mind, we may not see Season 4 until the latter half of 2024 at the earliest.
