The family of actor Tom Sizemore has received a devastating prognosis after he suffered a brain aneurysm following his Feb. 19 stroke.

Sizemore, 61, had collapsed in his home and was transported to a Los Angeles-area hospital, where he has been in critical condition and under the care of his doctors ever since, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In a statement to THR Monday, Sizemore’s rep, Charles Lago, said that there was no longer a chance of recovery for the Saving Private Ryan actor.

“Today, doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end-of-life decision,” he said, adding that “family is now deciding end-of-life matters.”

“We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time,” he continued. “And they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

Along with Saving Private Ryan, Sizemore has starred in films like Heat and Black Hawk Down, and recently appeared on the latest season of Netflix’s Cobra Kai.

He has also publicly battled substance abuse and appeared on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew in 2010, as well as the 2022 Tubi series Barbee Rehab, a comedy that parodies the rehab experience.

Sizemore has twin sons, Jayden and Jagger, 17, with former girlfriend Janelle McIntyre.
