Who Plays Majid on ‘Sex/Life’ Season 2? Meet Darius Homayoun

Calling all horny Netflix subscribers: Sex/Life is back for Season 2, and would you believe us if we told you our girl Billie (Sarah Shahi) has a new love interest?! Yes, there’s now a THIRD man in this woman’s love life. The show really went there! We swear!

When we last left Billie in Season 1, it seemed like she and her handsome husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) were off again, while she and her hauntingly hot ex Brad (Adam Demos) were on again. If you have yet to watch the first episode of Sex/Life Season 2 and want to avoid spoilers, consider this your chance to stop reading. Who Is Majid on Sex/Life Season 2?

When we first see a present-day Billie in the Sex/Life Season 2 premiere, she’s living in her new apartment after separating from Cooper. Her wise and talented bestie Sasha (Margaret Odette) arrives to help get her out of her funk, and finally convinces her to get out of her apartment and back on the dating scene. The two friends get glammed up and go to a bar, where Sasha assures Billie she has nothing to feel guilty about and can talk to other guys even though she’s still married to Cooper.

“In that case, let me just go get my fuck on right now,” Billie sarcastically snaps. As she whips around at the bar, she bumps into a (predictably dreamy) man, accidentally drops her phone, then lifts her head up and smashes into his nose. Once he lays eyes on Billie, the man smoothly asks if he could have her insurance information just in case his nose turns out to be broken. The two exchange some flirty banter, introduce themselves, and then the man —Majid — asks Billie if she’s single.

In a flashback, we see Billie returning home after heading to Brad’s house in the Season 1 finale. She and Cooper get into a fight, he says he’s done, then he storms out. Since the two are separated and on track to get divorced, Billie tells Majid there’s no guy, but then says to hell with her filter and gives him the SparkNotes version of her chaotic life. “You don’t want to go out with me. I’m a messy mess who just blew up her life. I mean kind of unintentionally. But if I’m really being honest, completely intentionally,” she explains, adding that she has two young kids, is in the middle of a bitter divorce, and is pining away for the love of her life who’s having a baby with a model. And still, Majid stays!

“You’re something else. I like it,” he says. “Usually you have to put in three dates before you get to the truth of what’s really going on with someone. At this point in my life it feels so much better to just skip the dance and cut to the chase.” He invites her to dinner the next night, and when she meets him at the restaurant, he reveals that he’s the owner.

Majid and Billie connect over the fact that they both dared to dream bigger than the seemingly picture-perfect lives they already had. He used to be in finance, did everything the way he was supposed to, and had everything he was supposed to want in life. He still wasn’t happy, so he took a chance on himself and changed careers. As we know, Billie was a married mom of two and suburban housewife who wanted better sex, her ex, her identity, and the excitement of her old life back, so she went to get it. If you don’t think too hard about it too hard, they’re basically the same!

After a successful first date, Majid walks Billie home and she opts to take it slow, deciding not to kiss him. When she calls Sash to debrief about the date, she encourages Billie to run back to the restaurant and plant a big old smooch on that man, so she does! And it’s well-received! But when the two lift their heads, Brad and his new girlfriend appear at the restaurant to spoil the moment. Turns out Brad and Majid are friends and Brad is also an investor in the restaurant. OF COURSE.

Who Plays Majid on Sex/Life Season 2? Meet Darius Homayoun

As noted, Majid on Sex/Life is played by Darius Homayoun, an actor who kickstarted his on-screen career in 2013 as Toby in After The Dark. Since then, Homayoun has starred in a number of TV series and films, including Affluenza, Tyrant, The Long Road Home, and The Dead of Night. He’s likely best-known for his roles as Amir on HBO’s Succession and Peyman Mohammadi on Apple TV+s series Tehran.
