FX‘s critically acclaimed series Sons of Anarchy starring Charlie Hunnam ended its run nearly 10 years ago. Since then, the franchise continued thanks to spin-off series Mayans MC starring J.D. Pardo, which centered on another group of bikers.

With Mayans MC now also coming to an end with its upcoming fifth and final installment, fans have been wondering if this is the end of the popular franchise.

During a panel presentation of his new project Emily the Criminal, SoA star Theo Rossi revealed that the original crew (including Hunnam) might be working on a new project, according to Deadline.

“There might be something coming up where we’re all back together, which is insane,” said Rossi. “Charlie [Hunnam]’s gonna announce something soon. If it happens, it’s wild, but if it doesn’t it would be perfect and really cool because we also talk every day.”

When asked if this might be an idea for a Sons of Anarchy movie, Rossi smirked and said, “It’s totally different. It’s really cool.”

For those who know the ending to SoA, it’s interesting to think about how they might expand on the series. Maybe a prequel series that would tell the origins of Hunnam’s character or some other spin-off with Charlie as a producer.

Either way, it would appear that fans will have to wait for Hunnam’s announcement.
