Crocs may have found a trendy resurgence among us regular folk but some fashion designers are steering clear of the foam clogs. During today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Drew Barrymore gifted Queer Eye star Tan France his first pair of the popular footwear — against his will, we might add.

The British fashion designer appeared on the show alongside his Next In Fashion co-star, supermodel Gigi Hadid. When they finished promoting the new season of their Netflix show and spilling their secrets in a game led by Barrymore, the talk show host revealed that she had a little gift for France.

“We heard that there’s a fashion trend that Gigi and I like, we heard you do not like,” Barrymore said, while Hadid added, “I’d say we’re icons in the matter of this particular … right?”

As Barrymore stood up to retrieve the gift, France immediately caught on to what she was hiding behind her chair.

“Get out. I don’t want it. I actually don’t want it,” he insisted. “Can you refuse a gift? No thank you. Take it to the trash, I know exactly [what it is].”

Barrymore and Hadid proceeded to place a white box on his lap with a bright yellow bow attached to the top. When France opened the present, out popped a pair of bright yellow crocs. The television personality joked, “I don’t like either of you,” before asking, “Can I put them on just to show how hideous they are?”

When he finally gave in to the trend, the actress and model put on their own pairs of matching crocs, with France sarcastically quipping, “I’ve never felt as sexy.”

It looks like we shouldn’t expect to see anyone sporting crocs in the new season of Next in Fashion, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
