Former ‘GMA3’ Co-Hosts Amy Robach And T.J. Holmes Share NSFW Details About Their Intimate Lives: “Prefer Cuffs Over Ropes”
Our favorite dethroned talk show hosts, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, refuse to go quietly into the night. The two are reportedly shopping an “up close and personal” talk show to ABC competitors, and former The View host Meghan McCain is on their side!
According to The Daily Mail, the two lovers are allegedly “aggressively pitching” a new talk show that would give audiences insight into their personal lives. The outlet suggests that they are pitching the show to CBS, NBC and CNN after being booted from ABC due to their extramarital affair.
McCain, who co-hosted ABC’s The View until her 2021 exit, weighed in on the rumors and expressed her support for Robach and Holmes in an op-ed written for The Daily Mail. “But honestly, why not put these adulterers back on air? If you haven’t noticed daytime TV is getting super saucy,” McCain wrote.
The TV personality referenced the success of Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford’s wine o’clock broadcasts and “co-working candoolers” Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, as well as Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos — the latter of which just got their own show.
McCain added, “It was only a matter of time before the reality TV behemoth enveloped TV news. Come on, they’re not that different after all. And we can’t look away from a trainwreck.”
Last December, Robach and Holmes were taken off air from their talk show GMA3: What You Need to Know after The Daily Mail exposed their scandalous affair – sending ABC executives into a tizzy. Despite ABC News President Kim Godwin confessing that neither party violated the company’s policy, the two were eventually ousted from the show (reportedly with a big pay out).
McCain concluded her endorsement with, “If you don’t like it – don’t watch,” before encouraging the two to “lean into who you are.”
Never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but Meghan… you may be onto something.
