One of Netflix’s most popular television series is leaving in April.

Fox comedy New Girl is set to leave the streaming platform for the first time in almost 10 years, Variety reports. Peacock and Hulu will both have all seven seasons of the show available starting next month following an agreement between Disney and NBCUniversal.

Netflix first secured streaming rights to the show in 2013. New Girl premiered on Fox in 2011 where it went on for seven seasons and 146 episodes until 2018.

The sitcom follows Jessica Day (Zooey Deschanel) as she moves into a loft with three men after going through a breakup. Hilarity ensues as the quirky grade school teacher, her childhood friend Cece (Hannah Simone), and her roommates Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield), Winston (Lamorne Morris), and Coach (Damon Wayans) juggle their love lives and adventures together. The show featured guest appearances from stars like Prince, Dylan O’Brien, Taylor Swift, and more.

New Girl secured multiple Emmy Award nominations throughout its run and won two Critics Choice Awards for most exciting new series and best actress in a comedy series.

The series went on to become a major comfort watch for Netflix viewers, along with other sitcoms like Friends and Schitt’s Creek, both of which have also left the streaming giant. Fans on Twitter were not happy, to say the least.

“Netflix just keeps losing,” one user tweeted.

Unfortunately for sitcom fans, this isn’t the first major comedy series announcing that it will be leaving the platform this year. Arrested Development Seasons 1 through 5 are also leaving Netflix this month.

WHERE IS NEW GIRL STREAMING?

You can still catch New Girl on Netflix until April 17, after which it’ll move to both Hulu and Peacock. The entire series will be available on both platforms after that.
