The Oscars may be about recognizing excellence in film, but one television show is about to steal the thunder. At tonight’s award show, the Hulu comedy drama Only Murders in the Building will premiere a teaser for its upcoming third season, featuring guest star Meryl Streep.

Led by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, the mystery series follows three strangers as they channel their true crime obsession into solving a murder that occurred inside their NYC apartment. However, as time passes, they find themselves being framed for the crime.

The teaser video opens up with a man collapsing on a stage, causing Oliver (Short) and Mabel (Gomez) to react in shock. “Is this really happening,” the struggling Broadway director asks the young adult, to which she sarcastically responds, “Who are we without a homicide?”

After the crime-solving trio seemingly reunites, the narrator teases “a surprise you never saw coming” making way for Streep’s starry entrance. “It’s me!” her character proclaims in the teaser.

In January, Martin and Gomez teased Streep’s role in the series with a series of social media posts. Martin shared a photo of himself and the star alongside Short, Gomez and Paul Rudd, the latter of which is set to reprise his role from the previous season. The former Disney actor took it up a notch by sharing a silly video of aforementioned cast members being dotted on by the Mamma Mia star. In addition to Streep and Rudd, Jesse Williams is also set to guest star.

While a release date for the upcoming season has yet to be announced, Hulu teases that it’s “coming soon” – meanwhile, we’ll be watching this teaser on repeat!
