Live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 95th annual Academy Awards!
Last year’s Oscars ceremony will be remembered for one thing: Jessica Chastain winning Best Actress for her electrifying portrayal of Tammy Faye Bakker in the film The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

Ten films will compete for Best Picture as Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Banshees of Inisherin, All Quiet on the Western Front, Elvis, Tar, Top Gun: Maverick, Women Talking, Triangle of Sadness, The Fabelmans, and Avatar: The Way of Water battle for the coveted honor. If you still need to watch one of the Best Picture nominees, Elvis is streaming on HBO Max, Top Gun: Maverick is on Paramount+, and Everything Everywhere All at Once is available to watch on Showtime. This year’s ceremony airs on ABC.
What Time Do The Oscars Start?
The 2023 Oscars air tonight (March 12) from 8:00-11:00 p.m. ET on ABC. Red carpet coverage begins at 1:00 p.m. ET on a variety of networks (more on that below).
Oscars 2023 Red Carpet Start Time/Live Stream Info:
On The Red Carpet Live! Countdown to the Oscars airs from 1:00-4:00 p.m. ET on ABC and ABC.com. Countdown to the Oscars will air from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on ABC. Preshow coverage will also air on ABC News Live (which is available to stream live on Hulu) beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET.
Finally, E! Network’s Academy Awards coverage will be available to watch from 3:00-8:00 p.m. ET, and you can also stream red carpet coverage live for free on the Associated Press’ YouTube page.

You can also watch this year’s ceremony live with an active subscription to an over-the-top streaming service that offers ABC, including Hulu + Live TV, fuboTV, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, and YouTube TV.

CAN I WATCH THE 2023 OSCARS LIVE ON HULU?
If you’re an active Hulu + Live TV subscriber ($69.99/month), you might be able to watch this year’s show live via the service’s ABC live stream. Why did we say might? Earlier this week, Hulu removed Sinclair Broadcast Group’s local ABC affiliates from Hulu + Live TV, with affected subscribers receiving an email about the change.
Subscribers who lost the local ABC live stream won’t be able to watch the Oscars live on Hulu.
