Ke Huy Quan and Harrison Ford’s precious onstage reunion at the 95th Academy Awards helped put the “Everything” in Everything Everywhere All At Once‘s Best Picture win.

The A24 film — directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert — won a total of seven awards on Sunday, with Quan also taking home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. But the Best Picture win was extra special for the 51-year-old actor, because living legend Harrison Ford presented it.

Ford and Quan both starred in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom back in 1984, so when they embraced on the Oscars stage, fans couldn’t help but flashback to the memorable hug they shared nearly four decades earlier. When Quan went on stage to accept the night’s biggest award alongside his cast and crew, he started excitedly jumping and pointing at Ford before the two hugged and Quan kissed Ford on the cheek. The camera even cut to Spielberg in the audience, who was happily cheering them on. Our hearts!

Comparison photos of the iconic present-day hug and the Indiana Jones embrace — in which a younger Ford and Quan as a child actor are seen locked in an emotional bear hug — are still flooding social media. And let’s just say they’re…everything.

The Oscars moment was incredibly touching, but this wasn’t the first time the two actors reunited since filming their 1984 movie. In September 2022, Quan shared two photos to Instagram of him and Ford at Disney’s D23 convention. “‘I love you, Indy.’ Indiana Jones and Short Round reunited after 38 years,” Quan captioned the post.

In an interview with The New York Times, Quan explained the rush of seeing Ford again after all those years. “We were at the D23 event and I was told Harrison was gonna be there…We’re in this green room with so many actors, producers, and directors, and the person who was assigned to assist me said, ‘Harrison Ford is right outside the green room. Would you want to go say hi?'” Quan said. “I’m thinking, ‘Of course! I haven’t seen him in 38 years. So I walk out and I see him about 15 feet away talking to Phoebe Waller-Bridge, they’re there to promote Indy 5. And as I walk close, my heart is pounding. I’m thinking, ‘Is he gonna recognize me? The last time he saw me, I was a little kid.'”

“As I get closer, he turns and points his finger at me, and he has that classic, famous, grumpy Harrison Ford look,” Quan continued. “I go, ‘Oh my gosh, he probably thinks I’m a fan and he’s gonna tell me to not come near him.’ But he looks and points at me and says, ‘Are you Short Round?’ Immediately, I was transported back to 1984, when I was a little kid, and I said, ‘Yes, Indy.’ And he said, ‘Come here,’ and gave me a big hug.”

When asked about Quan’s potential Oscar nom in December 2022, Ford sang the actor’s praises, telling Uproxx, “He is really terrific in his movie. And I’m so glad to see him…and what he has become. I’m so happy for him. He’s such a happy guy, too.” In January 2023, Ford also told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m so happy for him. He’s a great guy…He’s a wonderful actor. He was when he was a little kid, and he still is. I’m glad. I’m very happy for him.”

Welp! Short Round and Indy are back, and this feels like the perfect time for a cathartic happy cry and a Temple of Doom rewatch.
