Keira Knightley is hunting down the story in Boston Strangler, a new movie coming to Hulu this weekend.

Written and directed by Matt Ruskin, Boston Strangler is based on the true story of the Boston-based murders of 13 women in the early 1960s. The infamous killings have already been adapted for the screen before—including the 1968 movie, The Boston Strangler, which is also available on Hulu—but Ruskin offers a new spin on the true crime tale by centering the story on two real-life journalists who covered the story. Loretta McLaughlin (Knightley) and Jean Cole (Carrie Coon) challenged gender roles at the Boston Record American, breaking front-page news on the most grisly story of the day.

WHAT TIME WILL BOSTON STRANGLER 2023 BE ON HULU?

In the past, Hulu original films have debuted on the streaming service around midnight on the east coast, or 12 a.m. Eastern Time on the morning of the film’s release date. That means if you’re on the west coast, you can watch Boston Strangler on Hulu as early as 9 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday night, and on the east coast at midnight.
