Tyra Banks is on the search to find America’s next top ice cream flavor. The former model is leaving her hosting gig at Dancing with the Stars, which she has worked on since 2020, to focus on her ice cream business.

In an interview with TMZ, Banks said that her team has been working hard on her ice cream business, Smize and Dream.

She explained, “We’re global, we’re about to be on a cruise.” Banks also showed off the products she had bought from Whole Foods for “research and development” for the brand’s United States expansion.

“You’re gonna see us this year in Inglewood,” the television personality shared, referring to the California city.

When asked about her plans balancing her new responsibilities with her current hosting gig on the ABC dance competition, she shared, “I’m really focused on business. I feel it’s time for me to really focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV.”

Banks said that she’s more interested in creating entertainment, rather than just being a host. “It’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor,” she joked. The TMZ interviewer asked Banks to confirm that she’s stepping away from Dancing with the Stars, to which she replied, “I think it’s time. Don’t you think it’s time?”

Banks made her television debut in 1993 in the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She went on to star in a variety of television shows and movies, including Love Stinks, Life Size and MADtv, before serving as the creator, host and judge of America’s Next Top Model

The television personality also hosted the daytime talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, before returning as a guest judge on Top Model spin-offs in Mexico, Vietnam, Asia, Korea and Australia. Before turning to screen work, Banks was an editorial model and appeared in music videos for Michael Jackson, Tina Turner and George Michael. She was also the first Black woman to appear on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and GQ.
