We have some great news for fans of Call the Midwife: Season 12 premieres tonight on PBS!

Decider’s provided detailed streaming information below, but we have some exciting specifics if you’re interested in watching new episodes of Call the Midwife before they premiere on PBS. Season 12 episodes debut weekly on the network, but PBS Passport members (minimum $5/month) will be able to stream each episode four weeks ahead of the scheduled broadcast date. What exactly can you expect from the new season? Per PBS, “the midwives welcome a new nun, Sister Veronica, and tension in Poplar arises following the effects of Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech.”

The Season 12 premiere of Call the Midwife airs tonight (March 19, 2023) from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET on PBS.

You can watch the season premiere live on PBS, the PBS website, YouTube TV, or PBS app. Per PBS, Season 12 episodes will be available to stream for free on the PBS website/app from the day they broadcast until June 6, 2023.

Season 11 episodes of Call the Midwife are available to stream on PBS.com, but they’ll be exiting the website beginning March 21, 2023.

IS CALL THE MIDWIFE ON NETFLIX?

Yes! Seasons 1-11 are currently streaming on Netflix in the United States.

WHEN WILL CALL THE MIDWIFE SEASON 12 BE ON NETFLIX?

No official release date has been announced, but based on the show’s streaming history we have a pretty good idea of when new episodes might drop on Netflix.

  • Call the Midwife Season 9: Premiered in January of 2020 on PBS and September of 2020 on Netflix
  • Call the Midwife Season 10: Premiered in April of 2021 on PBS and March of 2022 on Netflix
  • Call the Midwife Season 11: Premiered in January of 2022 on PBS and September of 2022 on Netflix

Based on the previous release dates, we expect Call the Midwife Season 12 to premiere on Netflix in late 2023 or early 2024.

IS CALL THE MIDWIFE SEASON 12 ON HULU?

Nope. Unfortunately, the series isn’t available to stream on Hulu.
