Secret Netflix Viewership Data Finally Revealed in Landmark Report: Netflix’s Top 10 Movies And Top 10 Shows
Netflix has officially renewed You for a fifth and final season.
Though details for You Season 5 are scant, an announcement released by Netflix today teases an “unforgettable ending” for viewers.
“Will Joe Goldberg finally get his judgment day?” the statement reads. One can only hope.
You Season 4 took the show in a different direction, bringing Joe and his captive audience across the pond to London in his quest to find Marienne Bellamy, played by Tati Gabrielle. But, just as it feels like Goldberg reached a point of no return, he still manages to fail upwards into an even crazier situation for Season 5.
Executive producers Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo will be taking over as co-showrunners, as Sera Gamble will be stepping away from her showrunning duties “to focus on new projects” for the first time in You‘s four-season run.
“I feel lucky to have worked with an artist as gifted and thoughtful as Penn Badgely,” Gamble said in Friday’s press release. “I’m proud of what we’ve all accomplished and feel privileged to pass the torch. I’m excited to watch and support the You team as they bring Joe Goldberg’s journey to its delightfully twisted conclusion.”
Show developer Greg Berlanti and executive producer Sarah Schechter shared that they always envisioned this Netflix adaptation of Caroline Kepnes’ book series to be a five-season journey.
More details about You Season 5 will be shared at a later date.
For now, You Seasons 1-4 are now available to stream on Netflix.
