Emmy-winning actor Billy Crudup could sell us all timeshares on a deserted moon, but can he sell Apple TV+ on Hello Tomorrow! Season 2?

The retro-future dramedy’s Season 1 finale — which premiered on Apple TV+ Friday, April 7 — ended with several out-of-this-world cliffhangers that will undoubtedly have fans craving new episodes ASAP.

If you have yet to see Season 1, Episode 10 (“What Could Be Better?”), then you may want to stop reading to avoid spoilers. But if you’ve witnessed the absolute mess that Jack (Crudup), Shirley (Haneefah Wood), Joey (Nicholas Podany), Eddie (Hank Azaria), and Herb (Dewshane Williams) got themselves into before the end credits rolled, you’re likely eager to know if Hello Tomorrow!‘s story will continue.

So will there be a Hello Tomorrow! Season 2 on Apple TV+? Read on to learn what we know about the future of Crudup’s series, Hello Tomorrow!‘s renewal status, and potential Season 2 storylines.

Will there be a Hello Tomorrow! Season 2 on Apple TV+?

As of April 7, Apple TV+ has yet to renew or cancel Hello Tomorrow! but that’s not to say a Season 2 is out of the question. Though we’ve seen the streaming platform announce early renewals for shows like The Big Door Prize, which has yet to conclude its first season, it’s not uncommon to wait a bit after a season has concluded to greenlight more episodes. If the series is renewed, we likely wouldn’t see new episodes until 2024.

Apple TV+ has a long-running relationship with Crudup, who also stars in one of its other popular series, The Morning Show, and he certainly brings his star power to Hello Tomorrow!, so that may play a role in renewal. If the series were to be renewed, there are also an abundance of storylines to explore down the line.

Hello Tomorrow! Ending Explained: What a Hello Tomorrow! Season 2 Could Look Like:

In Season 1, Episode 10, “What Could Be Better?” we saw Joey and Jack team up to sabotage the investors’ rocket launch and ensure that no passengers fly to an empty, timeshare-free moon. After trapping everyone in an elevator so they’d miss takeoff, the father/son duo raced to see Joey’s mom (and Jack’s wife) Nancy (Frances Eve), who finally woke up from her coma. They left the launch button responsibilities to Elle (Dagmara Dominczyk), who sent the rocket up as instructed. But little do Jack and Joey know, Lester (Matthew Maher) saved everyone from the elevator and all passengers were back onboard when the ship left for the moon. Yikes!

A Hello Tommorrow! Season 2 would ideally pick up right after the launch to show Jack, Joey, Shirley, and Eddie scrambling to clean up their mess. Will the passengers learn that “Jack is a crook and the moon is a crock”? We’re not sure. But we do know that a whole lot of people — including Herb and Betty (Susan Heyward) — are about to learn that their brighter tomorrow doesn’t start today.

Since the rocket technically launched, investors should be satisfied, which means Jack could potentially get the money he needs to actually build the idyllic lunar timeshares he’s been selling all this time. We’ll also likely see more of Jack and Joey’s shifting family dynamic as they try to restore Nancy’s memory. The season ends with Jack promising his wife, son, and mother that one day they’ll go to the moon together, so here’s hoping Hello Tomorrow! is renewed for Season 2 so it can (FINALLY) fly us all to the moon.

As Jack would say, “Until tomorrow!”
