The fun’s over! Married couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are not having sex now that they work together. The television host revealed that she doesn’t want to anger ABC with their relationship ahead of Consuelos replacing Ryan Seacrest on the Live talk show.

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ripa was asked about her reaction to T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s scandal which resulted in the former GMA3 hosts being booted from the network after their extramarital affair was revealed.

The talk show host joked that she and her husband “have taken a vow of chastity” during the time they’re working together in order to stay in the network’s good graces. “I know ABC does not like TV partners banging on the side, so we promise there will be no banging on the side,” Ripa said.

Though, she added that Holmes and Robach’s affair made the show “compelling” after Andy Cohen suggested that ABC should’ve kept them on the show.

ABC pulled Robach and Holmes from their show in December, when reports of their affair surfaced. They were officially ousted from the show in January.

At the time, a spokesperson from ABC said, “We all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”

Marlon Wayans, who joined Ripa on the show, added that Holmes and Robach appear to be happy. “I went to the set and I was like, ‘Hey, what’s up, TJ? There’s something going on here,'” he recalled.

In a later segment, Ripa opened up about Seacrest’s last day on Live With Ryan and Kelly, which will be rebranded to Live With Kelly and Mark following his exit on April 14.

Regarding his upcoming final show, Ripa told Cohen, “We’re planning lots of surprises. I will be murdered If I reveal them.” She said the production team is planning on “hazing” Seacrest by doing all of his least favorite things.

Seacrest broke the news of his exit in February during a live broadcast, telling viewers, “Working alongside Kelly over the past six years has been a dream job and one of the highlights of my career.” Ripa has since commented on the impending transition, saying that it will be “seamless.” Earlier this week, she noted, “Nothing will really change, just the different name on the mug.”

After his final show, Seacrest will jet off to California, where he is set to host American Idol’s live shows, a gig he’s held since the show’s debut in 2002.

Live with Kelly and Ryan airs weekdays at 9/8c on ABC.
