Drew Barrymore Says She Was “Finally Shaving After Three Months” When Noisy House Alarm Went Off

If Drew Barrymore‘s latest Instagram post is to teach us anything, it’s that even America’s sweetheart can have a rough start to her Monday morning.

In the short video posted to her social media page, the Drew Barrymore Show host’s bath was interrupted by a noisy house alarm, naturally prompting her to record herself walking around her home in a towel until the issue was finally resolved.

“You cannot make this stuff up. I was so excited. I was finally shaving after three months,” Barrymore — who still had shaving cream remnants in her armpits — said. “But the house alarm is going off.”

The 50 First Dates star sat in silence for a moment as the alarm continued — and eventually, she cut to a much quieter clip, where she whispered, “It’s fixed.”

“Well,” she said as she panned to a filled bathtub. “That bath is just over. I did get to shave, though, under absolute stress and duress and panic. But I got it done. So jokes on you, house alarm.”

Still remaining positive, Barrymore captioned the video, “You can not make this stuff up! Just a moment that I will not let get the best of me… I’ll laugh instead,” while a slew of fans praised her in the comments section for always being her true self.
