Nickelodeon alum Drake Bell has been reported missing and endangered by the Daytona Police Department.

Officers reported the actor MIA in a Facebook post published today at 9:43 a.m. ET. The post included his government name, Jared Bell, and his date of birth.

The police wrote that Bell travels in a 2022 gray BMW and was last seen near Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida on Wednesday (April 12) at around 9 p.m. ET.  They added that Bell is “considered missing and endangered.”

When the news first came out, fans suspected that the listing was a hoax. However, the police department denied the rumors and later wrote, “For those asking, this is a legitimate post from the Daytona Beach Police Department.”

Bell is best known for starring in the Nickelodeon television series Drake and Josh, alongside Josh Peck. Around the same time, he made appearances in 2000s hits like The Amanda Show and All That

Bell reprised his role in the popular Nickelodeon sitcom in two television movies, Drake and Josh Go Hollywood and Merry Christmas Drake and Josh. He also portrayed Timmy Turner in Nickelodeon’s live-action adaptation of The Fairly OddParents. His last credited performance was in a 2021 episode of Robot Chicken

In addition to acting, Bell is also a musician. He has six albums, with the latest — Non-Stop Flight — set to release later this year. He created a Patreon in late February to raise money for the album.

Throughout his career, the actor has faced several legal issues, most recently a child endangerment charge for having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old while he was 31 years old. Bell pled guilty and was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service.

The police department has directed people with information regarding Bell’s whereabouts to contact Detective Jayson Wallace at 386-671-5207 or wallacejayson@dbpd.us.
