It looks like Jeopardy! is trying to spice things up – however, a recent category has struck viewers in an odd way.

During Thursday’s (April 13) episode, two-day champ Ben competed against cardiologist Greg and grant strategy consultant Kari, but before the competition got heated, host Ken Jennings took a moment to explain one of the categories on the board.

Introducing the Foodstock – which is a combination of “food” and the music event “Woodstock” –  category, the host explained, “each response here will be an original Woodstock band altered to include the name of a food.”

Jennings gave the example of “Blood, Sweat and Pears,” calling it “a band I know you love.”

The answer is a play on the American jazz rock band Blood, Sweat and Tears, who headlined the New York festival in 1969.

While Jennings seemed tickled by the pun, several commenters online weren’t sure what to make of the category.

Taking to Twitter to air their grievances, one wrote, “The fact that Ken would need that long to explain “Foodstock” to the #Jeopardy contestants should have been a warning to the writers against including it.”

Others called it a “stupid” category and noted that Jennings “was particularly lenient with ‘close enough’ answers.” Another tweeted, “Foodstock was a bad category in #Jeopardy please don’t don’t  do that again.”

Others welcomed the wordplay, expressing, “Foodstock was fun. Can we get more categories like that?” Agreeing, another Twitter user wrote, “#Jeopardy Foodstock = best category EVER! Must do more please!”

Reddit also had opinions to share – one viewer expressed that they had no luck in the category while playing along at home. They shared, “Maybe because I don’t have kids, but I found that Foodstock category impossible (0/5). You made it look easy, and almost swept it!”

Hopefully the NBC game show doesn’t take this feedback to heart. You win some, you lose some – but props on the producers for trying something new!
