‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Scheana Shay Spills the Beans About Her “Drunken Makeout” With ‘Southern Charm’ Star Shep Rose: “So Sloppy”

Scheana Shay is dishing on her short-lived romance with Southern Charm star Shep Rose. According to the Vanderpump Rules personality, the duo had a “little fling” a few years ago.

Shay made the revelation to Rose’s costar, Olivia Flowers, while speaking on the new episode of her Dear Media podcast Scheananigans.

“Shep and I kind of had a little fling. It was a blip in time,” she said, before confessing that she thought the reality star was “the funniest, most charismatic person” when she first met him.

The “Good as Gold” singer — who is no stranger to cross-pollinating in the Bravoverse as she also dated Carl Radke from Summer House and Nema Vand from Shahs of Sunset — clarified that it “never got that far” with the South Carolina native.

Shay also revealed that Rose — a forever bachelor-type — advised her against watching Southern Charm because he feared her “entire viewpoint” of him would change.

However, this wasn’t the first time the former Sur waitress has spilled tea about her time with Rose. While speaking to Bravo Insider in 2020, Shay said the duo had first hooked up in 2018 — though she noted that they “never had sex.”

When it came to her Pump Rules costars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright‘s 2019 wedding, Shay recalled her “intention” to hook up with Rose, which was derailed when he got too drunk.

“He’s not the best at rounding all the bases. By the time he hits second going on third base, he’s like too drunk to remember what he’s doing,” she told the outlet. “It was like a bunt to first and like the start of a drunken makeout and I was like, ‘I can’t do it.’ It was just so sloppy.”

Despite saying he wasn’t the one as far as a “dating companion” goes, Shay still referred to Rose as a “sweetheart” and “one of the funniest people” she’s ever met.
