Jennifer Aydin’s “Boogawolf” Insult to Margaret Josephs Gets Mixed Reviews From ‘RHONJ’ Fans: “Didn’t Land Like It Was Supposed to”

The Jennifer Aydin and Margaret Josephs feud only continues to grow — this time with Aydin delivering an odd-ball insult during a dinner on the group’s girl’s trip to Ireland.

During Tuesday night’s (April 18) episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, all hell broke loose as the ladies unsurprisingly broke out into a screaming match in the middle of a restaurant in the foreign country. What started as a disagreement between newbies Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda escalated into an even bigger fight between Aydin and Josephs.

While Josephs apologized for referring to Aydin as a “drug addict” in an earlier episode this season, the latter continued the conversation, pointing out that Josephs once called her “duplicitous.”

When she asked if Aydin even knows what that word means, the mom-of-five snarked, “How about boogawolf? Do you know what that means? That’s what you are. A boogawolf.”

However, Josephs wasn’t the only one confused by the attempted insult — which we later learned stood for a “very ugly person” or “something or someone that is very nasty.” As the table grew quiet, Dolores Catania asked in her confessional interview if the word had to do with a “cartoon character,” while Fuda told the cameras, “She missed the mark.”

Even Jennifer Fessler made her own assumptions about how Aydin came up with the rarely-used word. She joked, “You know Jenn’s been stewing on this. Like, what can I call Margaret Josephs? She’s combing through the dictionary. What word absolutely will fucking kill her? Boogawolf.”

Meanwhile, fans of the hit Bravo series took to Twitter to condemn Aydin’s “embarrassing” dig.

One wrote, “I have never heard of a boogawolf in my life,” while another added, “Boogawolf didn’t land like it was supposed to.”

“Jennifer really thought she did something with that boogawolf comment,” a third person said. “I’m glad Margaret didn’t give her the reaction she was looking for.” 

Someone else wrote, “Boogawolf? Lol oh Jenn yeah this is childish.”

However, not all were unimpressed with Aydin’s comeback. In fact, many found it to be hilarious, including one fan who said, “Jen’s boogawolf insult ABSOLUTELY hit.”

Another declared, “Boogawolf!!! Jennifer so real for that idc 😭😭 “

“Funniest!! Boogawolf.. lmao 🤣😂 love it! New word now! .. lmao 🤣 I already added it to word of the day.. lmao 🤣,” someone else joked, before another added, “Jennifer calling Marge a Boogawolf on #rhonj has to be the funniest shit ever.”
