Jada Pinkett Smith Gives Update On Where She Stands With Will Smith After Separation Bombshell On ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’: “We’re Staying Together Forever”
It’s the end of an era, so pour one out for the girlies. Jada Pinkett Smith’s gossipy talk show Red Table Talk has been canceled as Meta pivots from Facebook Watch Originals.
According to Deadline, Mina Lefevre, who was Head of Development and Programming at Meta, was laid off from the company.
As a result, no Facebook Watch Originals are continuing, including the breakthrough program Red Table Talk, which featured Pinkett Smith hosting alongside her daughter and mother, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
The show has already completed its series order, with the final episode of Season 5 featuring a special reunion episode with the cast of A Different World.
Westbrook Studios, who produces the series, is reportedly seeking a new home for the show.
Additional programs on Facebook Watch originals include Steve on Watch, Peace of Mind with Taraji, 9 Months with Courteney Cox and Unfiltered: Paris Jackson.
Pinkett Smith has not yet commented on the cancellation.
In a recent episode, Pinkett Smith was joined by Will Smith’s ex-wife Sheree Zampino to chat about the challenges they’ve faced raising their blended family. Pinkett Smith told Zampino, “It definitely took some forgiveness on your part, because I can remember a few times that I really crossed the line.”
The series also aired an explosive episode where the Smith couple discussed separation rumors and Pinkett Smith’s “entanglement” with August Alsina.
