Netflix just revealed who will be playing Prince William and Kate Middleton in the upcoming season of The Crown.

The sixth and final season of The Crown, which is slated to release later this year, will tell the story of their budding romance as college students, setting off “a new future for The Crown.”

According to a release from the streamer, dramatic actor Ed McVey will be making his onscreen debut as Prince William, while industry newcomer Meg Bellamy will be playing Middleton. The 19-year-old actress secured the role after answering a social media casting call.

The Crown Season 6 will show the royals meeting for the first time as students at the University of St. Andrews, as the monarchy enters a new decade. Prince William and Middleton famously married in 2011 after a highly publicized relationship and engagement.

Photos from the upcoming episodes show the pair’s uncanny resemblance to the royals at that age, even more so than Elizabeth Debicki‘s striking resemblance to Princess Diana.

The Netflix series is a dramatic retelling of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. With Olivia Colman and Imelda Staunton portraying Queen Elizabeth II at different phases of her life, its star-studded cast has also appeared as Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Margaret, amongst others.

The sixth and final season will cover the ’90s under the monarchy, around the time of Princess Diana’s passing and its aftermath.

Multiple people involved with the show have expressed concern over its depiction of the royal family. Helena Bonham Carter, who starred as Princess Margaret in Seasons 3 and 4, said in February that it may be time to wrap up the series.

“I don’t think they should carry on, actually. I’m in it and I loved my episodes, but it’s very different now,” Bonham Carter said of the Peter Morgan drama. “When The Crown started it was a historic drama, and now it’s crashed into the present.”

Season 6 will release on Netflix later this year. It’s slated to have ten 60-minute-long episodes.

Production for Season 6 reportedly took place in Scotland, including some locations the real-life couple enjoyed during their budding romance.
