Nick Cannon won’t be missing Jada Pinkett Smith‘s Red Table Talk following the news that Meta will be discontinuing Facebook Watch Originals. According to the rapper, it’s a “good” thing that the tell-all talk show came to an end.

While speaking on his Daily Cannon Show, the father-of-12 bluntly claimed, “If there was no Red Table Talk, then he wouldn’t have slapped the shit out of Chris Rock,” referencing Will Smith smacking Rock at the 2022 Oscars after the comedian made an off-color joke about Jada’s hair loss.

Doubling down on his stance that the “table was toxic,” Cannon added, “Too much honesty can get your ass slapped in the face. We’ve seen this.”

He even went on to slam the memes that were made of Will after a photo of him crying on the talk show while opening up about Jada’s “entanglement” with August Alsina went viral.

“I don’t want to know all this shit about y’all,” Cannon said. “I just want to mind my black own business. I don’t want to be up in everybody else’s kitchen. Keep that shit to y’all selves.”

Cannon’s assumptions echo those of Rock — who also placed the blame for the slap heard ’round the world on Red Table Talk in his live Netflix standup special Selective Outrage. The Grown Ups star said, “Everybody in here been cheated on, but NONE OF US have ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us on television.”

Unfortunately for Cannon, it looks like Red Table Talk — which is hosted by Jada, her daughter Willow Smith, and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris — won’t be gone forever. In an Instagram post made shortly after the news broke, Jada confirmed that they are currently shopping it around to other platforms.

“We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband,” she wrote. “We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come.”

Jada added, “We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home and we’ll see you soon.”
