Sunny Hostin won’t be tuning in when Donald Trump appears on CNN for the first time since 2016. The former president is slated to partake in a town hall in New Hampshire, which will be broadcast on the network later this month, much to Hostin’s dismay.

The View co-host went off on CNN during this morning’s episode, calling out the network for giving Trump a platform — and she wasn’t the only one.

“What is the point of this new town hall he is doing, and did we learn nothing from Les Moonves saying, ‘Bad for the country but great for the network?’” moderator Whoopi Goldberg wondered, referring to the former CBS boss’ 2016 comments at the at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference.

“Well, that’s what I’m so disgusted by,” Hostin began.”Because, again, when someone shows you who they are, you believe them.

“When you show that you are an insurrectionist, that you’re a liar, that you’re a bigot, that you’re racist, that you’re sexist, that you’re twice-impeached, that you are currently a criminal defendant and likely to be a criminal defendant in two other jurisdictions,” she continued, before pausing to include that Trump “grab[s] women by their genitals,” then exclaiming, “I know everything I need to know about you.”

Hostin added, “To put a button on it, I don’t think that you give that type of person a platform. You don’t do that. And I’m actually dismayed that CNN on May 10 at 8 o’clock is going to be giving — I just did a commercial for them — I can’t believe that they are giving him this platform. He is one of the most destructive and divisive people.”

Joy Behar chimed in to say, “I can’t stand him,” before admitting she welcomes a Trump town hall so the one-time POTUS can “show again to the American people that he is a sociopath.”

Trump is set to participate in a May 10 town hall on CNN, which will take place at New Hampshire’s St. Anselm College and will be moderated by anchor Kaitlan Collins. Per CNN, “the former president taking questions from New Hampshire Republicans and undeclared voters who plan to vote in the 2024 GOP presidential primary.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
