Reba McEntire has found a way to keep herself occupied now that her ABC series Big Sky has been canceled: She’ll be taking a job as a coach on the upcoming season of The Voice!

NBC has announced in a press released today that McEntire will join John Legend, Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani as a coach on Season 24 of the NBC singing competition. The news of McEntire’s new role on the show comes in the wake of longtime coach Blake Shelton’s announcement that he is stepping back from The Voice.

Shelton is the only coach who has appeared on every season of the NBC series since it began in 2011. This season, he was joined by Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper and Horan. (You don’t need me to tell you this, but in case you live under a rock that doesn’t get NBC or Peacock, Legend and Stefani have both worked on the show, with Legend coaching for six seasons and Stefani for eight.)

Though Season 24 marks her first time as a coach, McEntire is no stranger to The Voice; she appeared as an advisor during the show’s first season, and as a “mega mentor” to the show’s contestants in Season 8 and the current season. There is no exact premiere date for Season 24 just yet, but NBC has confirmed that it will air in the fall of 2023.

As for the show’s current season, it ain’t over yet! A live, two-hour semi-final will air tonight at 8PM ET/PT and will feature performances from the Top 8 artists, who will all perform for the first time in front of the coaches. Audiences will be able to vote for their favorite artist in real time, and the results will be revealed at the end of the show.

The Voice‘s two-night Season 23 finale will air May 22 and May 23.
