Whoopi Goldberg and co-host Ana Navarro‘s dog are extremely friendly with one another, according to an NSFW admission by Sunny Hostin on this morning’s episode of The View.

While speaking about “mommunes” — or when a group of single mothers live together — Navarro opened up about being a mother to her adorable five-pound poodle, ChaCha.

“For me, I have a mommune here at The View for my five-pound poodle who requires constant attention and petting and loves Whoopi Goldberg in some sort of way,” she said, while Sara Haines clarified, “in a special way.”

Hostin shed a little more light on what they were talking about when she joked that the two “reached first base today during the Hot Topics meeting,” before Haines added, “At least three times.”

Meanwhile, Goldberg simply sat back and chuckled at the conversation about her and ChaCha’s close friendship.

As for the rest of the conversation — which stemmed from a recent New York Times article — Navarro playfully asked where the outlet had been in the ’80s when she was watching The Golden Girls.

“Those four women were living together in a communal arrangement,” she said of the iconic series, which starred Betty White, Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty and Rue McClanahan, before adding that mommunes make sense, seeing as “things have become very expensive.”

Even Haines went on to praise the “awesome” idea.

“I love this. It is as old as cultures themselves,” she said. “There was a time when people lived together — tribal communities. Especially non-white communities, multi-generational homes. It was never natural to have a nuclear family that lived in a house and left babies with one mom by herself.”

Haines continued, “The first thing I would do if I ever found myself in a situation where I had kids and I was by myself would be to find other women to help me with the battle. Those are the people that will go to the ground for you. I think it’s awesome.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
