At long last, The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer’s tireless calls for seniors looking for love are about to pay off. That’s right, Bachelor Nation…the long-awaited Bachelor spinoff, The Golden Bachelor, is joining ABC’s primetime fall lineup!
On May 16, hours after Bachelor in Paradise was renewed for Season 9, ABC announced that the senior Bachelor-style reality show — which was floated to fans as early as 2020 — is finally coming to screens.
Though an exact premiere date for The Golden Bachelor remains unknown, ABC confirmed that the series will debut in fall and air Mondays from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET.
The official description for the new ABC series is as follows: “After more than 20 years of fostering young love on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, The Golden Bachelor showcases a whole new kind of love story – one for the golden years. On this all-new unscripted series, one hopeless romantic is given a second chance at love in the search for a partner with whom to share the sunset years of life. The women arriving at the mansion have a lifetime of experience, living through love, loss and laughter, hoping for a spark that ignites a future full of endless possibilities. In the end, will our Golden man turn the page to start a new chapter with the woman of his dreams?”

Bachelor in Paradise will air on ABC Tuesdays this fall from 9:00 to 10:00 ET, so depending on premiere dates, Bachelor Nation may have to mark their calendars for back-to-back Bachelor nights.
Like all shows in The Bachelor franchise, The Golden Bachelor episodes will be available to stream on Hulu next day. Now if only someone can tell us if Gabby Windey’s beloved Grandpa John will be our Golden man…
