Two Italian plumbers from Brooklyn get sucked into a pipe. They become separated, with one brother becoming the prisoner of giant, evil, turtle-like villain and the other allies himself with a beautiful princess and must defeat an actual gorilla in a fight before he can save his brother. No, it’s not the plot of the new Martin Scorcese film Killers Of the Ice Flower ‘Shroom, it’s the Mario and Luigi origin story featured in the blockbuster hit The Super Mario Bros. Movie, co-starring Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy and Jack Black, and it’s out now on VOD.

If you enjoyed Quentin Tarantino’s take on Nazi retribution in 2009’s Inglorious Basterds, but thought it was too light on violence, allow me to introduce you to Sisu. The Finnish film stars Jorma Tommila as Aatami Korpi, a gold prospector whose encounter with a Nazi platoon spells bad news… for the platoon. Korpi is a trained commando with nothing to lose, who has killed hundred of soldiers before, and he’s not afraid to do it again.
