Selling Sunset is back for Season 6, once again reminding us that this show has the messiest and pettiest cast on all of Netflix. That’s saying something, because Netflix is also home to Love Is Blind. Surprisingly, Selling Sunset remained messy AF even through the departure of Christine Quinn, the show’s former queen of mean. How did Selling Sunset keep up its nasty streak? We have Nick Cannon to thank for that.

Yes, somehow in a stacked cast of realtors who specialize in holding open houses and grudges, it’s Nick Cannon who emerges as the messiest shit-stirrer on Selling Sunset Season 6. Mind you, Nick Cannon is not even on Selling Sunset. He does not appear on the show once, yet he still manages to drive wedges between these women and ignite fight after fight all season long.

If you haven’t started Season 6 just yet and are wondering how the host of The Masked Singer is connected to the Netflix docu-soap about women selling billion dollar homes that have the personality of a venture capitalist Property Brother, there’s one name you need to know: Bre Tiesi.

That’s her! Bre Tiesi is the newest realtor at the Oppenheim Group. Before she starts, her name rings a few bells amongst the cast because she was just in the news for having had a baby with Nick Cannon just six weeks prior.

For context, Tiesi is far from the only person who had a baby with Cannon. In 2022, alone, Cannon had five children with five different women: Brittany Bell, LaNisha Cole, Abby De La Rosa, Alyssa Scott, and Bre Tiesi. In total, Cannon has 12 children.

While this is very much Bre’s business, not to mention her personal life and therefore irrelevant to whether she can successfully throw Burgers & Botox open houses for Oppenheim, the particulars of her life with “best friend” Nick Cannon certainly stir up a lot of feelings in her co-worker Chelsea Lazkani.

The shit really gets stirred in Episode 4 when, after a night out with Bre and Chrishell Stause, Chelsea comes into the office and just tells all of Bre’s business. According to Chelsea, Bre’s night out with the girls was interrupted by a news bulletin that LaNisha Cole had just had a baby with Nick Cannon. That led Chelsea to give her very much unsolicited opinion about Bre’s lifestyle.

“I find Nick Cannon and Bre’s relationship rather off-putting,” says Chelsea, the only person in the room commenting on Nick Cannon and Bre’s relationship. “I just think we’re fundamentally so different and ultimately the way I live my life is very different to her, as a Christian, so I don’t know if we will ever be super, super close friends.”

As the other women start to low key defend Bre — who is not there to defend herself, mind you — Chelsea offers up, “Maybe [Nick is] a master manipulator and all of these women have fallen in love with him and he’s promised them a situation that he can’t keep.” She then adds that this situation is “disgusting.”

But that’s not the only feud that Nick Cannon’s family planning choices ignite in Selling Sunset Season 6! After Chelsea drags Bre, Heather Rae El Moussa totally tells Bre — and then Chelsea gets mad at Heather for telling Bre! Yes, Chelsea, in the situation where you call your co-worker’s family “disgusting” behind her back, Heather is clearly the villain!

You’d think these rifts and tiffs would be resolved after an episode, or at least the involved parties would find ways to add new complications to fight about. They don’t. For the rest of the season, for practically the entire season, Nick Cannon’s name is repeatedly brought up and his relationship with Bre is relitigated — even the “master manipulator” comment gets another round! It’s not really a spoiler to say that Chelsea, Bre, and Heather are still fighting about Chelsea’s bad attitude and Heather tattling or something in the season finale. It’s the feud that never ends, all thanks to Nick Cannon and his non-traditional family. Honestly, Selling Sunset Season 6 might as well be Cannon’s 13th baby.
