Is Chrishell Stause Leaving ‘Selling Sunset’? What We Know

Selling Sunset is back on Netflix with a brand new season — and also a brand new cast. Okay, it’s not totally brand new and a lot of your favorite realtor divas are back for another round of throwing shade behind each other’s backs at various gatherings. But four cast members parted ways with the show after Season 5 (Maya Vander, Davina Potratz, Christine Quinn, and Vanessa Villela), and two new ones joined for Season 6 (Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young). That’s a pretty big shakeup, and it makes you wonder if there are more shakeups on the horizon.

That’s particularly the case with Chrishell Stause, who is nominally the lead of Selling Sunset (remember: she was our gateway character all the way back in the very first episode). The addition of Nicole to the cast, as well as Chrishell’s new relationship with Australian musician G Flip, gave her a bold new energy that made for a lot of shocking moments in Season 6. It would be a shame if that didn’t carry forward into Season 7. We’ve lost so much, Selling Sunset, don’t take Chrishell away too.

But — mild SPOILER alert — considering how Season 6 ends, we gotta wonder, did Chrishell leave Selling Sunset?

Is Chrishell Stause leaving Selling Sunset?

No, she is not. Admittedly, the Season 6 finale feels a little final for Chrishell. During a talk with Mary Fitzgerald wherein it’s very, very clear that Chrishell has checked out from Oppenheim mentally, Mary tells Chrishell to go to Australia to be with G Flip while they prepare and embark on a festival tour. The camera then follows Chrishell from the party and out to a bank of elevators where Chrishell gets in one and… Bye-bye.

But then a preview of Season 7 starts immediately and Chrishell is undeniably part of the upcoming season. She is all over the preview, and it looks like we’re gonna get Chrishell vs. Nicole: Round Two. If Chrishell did go to Australia for G Flip, she definitely scheduled her trip around the Season 7 filming schedule (unlike Davina, who peaced out on almost all of Season 6 so she could go to Burning Man).

Is Chrishell leaving the Oppenheim Group?

As far as we know, no. Chrishell still has a profile on the Oppenheim Group website.

When will Selling Sunset Season 7 come out on Netflix?

While Netflix has not yet revealed when Selling Sunset Season 7 will premiere, we can assume it will arrive sooner rather than later. In the past, Netflix has dropped seasons of Selling Sunset between 3-5 months apart. Considering that enough of the season is done to put together a pretty extensive preview, it seems most likely that we’ll get Season 7 in late summer/early fall.

As for whether Chrishell remains with the show after that, we’ll just have to wait and see how this feud with Nicole shakes out…
