Sara Haines had a busy day on The View this morning. All within the span of a few minutes, the co-host traded barbs with Joy Behar and managed to interrupt a heated segment with her phone — or was it her watch? These are the questions that keep us up at night!

It all went down during a debate about Target, which moved Pride Month items in some of its stores after it was accused of partnering with an artist with ties to Satanism.

“They were trying to to protect their employees,” Haines said, but not everyone was as understanding of the store’s decision, like Behar, who wondered, “Why didn’t they call the police?”

Haines snapped back, “Let me just finish here,” but Behar protested, “Can I just interject a little bit?”

After her brief spat with Behar, Haines continued, explaining that she thinks people have “caught up” with support for marriage equality, but the “goal posts” keep being moved by the far right.

As she began to launch into an explanation of the dangers of equating sexuality and gender, she was interrupted by audio talking about Better Help, a therapy app. Haines’ face dropped as she realized what was going on, but she couldn’t seem to identify how or why.

“Your watch is interrupting you!” Behar exclaimed, referring to Haines’ Apple Watch, while she picked up her phone from the Hot Topics table and said, “Oh my gosh, something answered,” while placing the phone underneath her to sit on it and silence it for good.

“Oh my gosh, I don’t know what’s going on here,” she admitted as the panel laughed at her antics.

The fun and games didn’t last long though, as Sunny Hostin got right back to business and asked Haines, “What is your ultimate point?”

After Haines regained her composure, she argued that “the queer community is being punished,” but the show only devolved into more of a mess as the co-hosts continued to talk over one another during the heated debate.

Haines’ speaker snafu comes a month after Behar also interrupted a Hot Topics segment with an unfortunate tech blunder. During a discussion about mass shootings on an April 21 episode, Behar’s Siri went off to warn her about a “speed camera ahead.”

“Oh, come on, Joy,” Haines said at the time, while Hostin asked, “Was that you again?”

Behar replied, “My phone goes off all the time. Why does Siri talk to me? I don’t ask her to speak to me.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC. Watch this morning’s Target debate segment in the video above.
