Is ‘Past Lives’ Streaming on Prime Video or Netflix?

Past Lives stars Greta Lee, Teo Yoo and John Magaro in a story about two childhood friends who reunite and ultimately “contemplate their relationship and their own lives,” per the movie’s logline.

So where can you watch Past Lives? Is it on Prime Video? What about Netflix?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH PAST LIVES:

UPDATE 8/24/23: Past Lives officially became available to purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple on Tuesday, Aug. 22. Plus, it will release on Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 19.

WHEN WILL PAST LIVES BE ON STREAMING? WILL PAST LIVES BE ON PRIME VIDEO?

Yes, Past Lives will eventually be available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Prime Video. Since a release date has not been announced yet, it’s hard to say when it will become available on the platform. But based on previous A24 films, like Aftersun, we can make a guess of around 45 days to two months after its theatrical release, which would be around early August 2023.

Aftersun first hit theaters on Oct. 21, 2023 and became available to purchase or rent on digital platforms like Prime Video on Dec. 20, 2023. However, other movies, like Everything Everywhere All At Once, became available around 70 days after their theatrical releases, so it’s best to take this estimate with a grain of salt.

WILL PAST LIVES BE ON NETFLIX?

No, Past Lives will not be on Netflix. However, it is possible that it will make it to the streaming giant eventually seeing as it’s home to other A24 movies like Uncut Gems. Until then, you’ll just have to head out to theaters or wait until it becomes available on digital.
