What Time Will ‘The Flash’ Movie Be on Max?
According to The Flash producer Barbara Muschietti, the action flick was “never” at risk of being shelved amid growing concerns over star Ezra Miller’s behavior.
“Not at all. No. That was never real,” Muschietti claimed to Entertainment Weekly.
Miller, who stars in the upcoming DC flick as the titular character, faced a string of arrests and allegations of abuse and harassment last year. Reports at the time claimed Warner Bros. Discovery was trying to figure out how to launch the highly anticipated movie while also addressing the situation, with some speculating that the movie was at risk of being shelved just like Batgirl.
Muschietti and her brother, The Flash diretcor Andy Muschietti, have stood by Miller’s side as promotion for The Flash ramped up, though the actor has not been involved in the press tour.
“We have a lot of empathy in general for people who need help, and especially in mental health issues,” Andy told EW. “That’s why they are taking the necessary steps to deal with their recovery, and we support them in that.”

Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, was arrested multiple times in Hawaii in 2022. They were also accused of exposing a mother and her three children to guns at the Vermont farm where the actor has been living since 2017. An explosive report from Vanity Fair also claimed that Miller had an unhealthy obsession with weapons, so much so they kept an arsenal at the Vermont farm, where they also allegedly controlled a “harem” of women.
In a statement released last year, Miller said they had begun receiving treatment for “complex mental health issues.”
The statement read, “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
DC boss James Gunn has already lauded the movie as “one of the greatest superhero movies,” a comment that some have criticized as rather tone-deaf.
The Flash premieres in theaters on June 16.
