Henry Cavill‘s final season of The Witcher is almost upon us. Netflix unveiled a brand new trailer for The Witcher Season 3 today, full of action, danger, and the heart-warming sight of Geralt (Henry Cavill), Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan) adventuring together. The two and a half minute clip also teased the return of Jaskier (Joey Batey) and a horrifying scene where the Wild Hunt chases after Cirilla. Consider the perfect tease for Cavill’s last ride with the franchise…

The Witcher Season 2 ended with our heroes visiting another realm to set the villainous Voleth Meir free. In the process, they crossed paths with the infamous Ciri’s realm believe the Wild Hunt to be a ghostly harbinger of doom, they’re really — as The Witcher: Blood Origin explained — just elves who found themselves stuck in a hellish alternate dimension after the Conjunction of the Spheres. So far, they’ve been content to cross over into the main storyline’s universe just to capture slaves. However, upon realizing Ciri had Elder Blood, they switch their mission to take her at all costs.

While it seems everyone wants to capture Ciri, The Witcher Season 3 trailer promises it will be hard for anyone — from the fire mage Rience (Chris Fulton) to ambitious elf Francesca (Mecia Simson) to Redania to the Wild Hunt itself — to full that feat off. Not only does the lion cub of Cintra have Geralt and Yennefer in her corner, but they’ve taught her well. We see Ciri perform an act of magic in the trailer as well as hunt a monster after calling herself a “Witcher.” (“Is that so?” a skeptical Geralt asks.)

Of course the best part of the trailer might simply be Jaskier, who gets not one, but two punchlines in the two and a half minute video. First he gets to be concerned that Geralt thinks he’s right and then he speaks for all of us who have ever fallen a little bit in love with the show’s gruesome monsters.

The Witcher Season 3 Volume 1 will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, June 29. The Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 will premiere on Thursday, July 27. Liam Hemsworth will take over the mantle of Geralt of Rivia for Season 4.
